You can't just reinstall the 2008.1 version. Backburner 2008.1 was the most stable until the update for the 2013 version came around (or the 2014 version can't remember now) Anyways, you can't go wrong with Backburner 2008.1 just download it from the autodesk site (it will also be on the 2011 dvd) If you have max 2012 you have to make sure you have BackBurner version 2008.1 (at some point there were issues with the backburner that shipped with max. If it is not correct you can manually type it in (will leave that for next time if it still doesnt work) If you ip doesnt start with 192.168.0 and your subnet is not also 255.255.255.0 then it means your server is on the wrong ip group and wont "see" the manager anyways. In your case it should be something like 192.168.0.(0-255?)īelow that should be Subnet Mask which should be 255.255.255.0

Now look for something that ssays IPv4 Address. You will now be in a dos prompt or command prompt. Type "cmd" here (without the "") and press enter. So on your manager to make sure what ip it has you can hold the "flag/start" button in on your keyboard and at the same time press the "r" key. (in laymen terms that just means they should be in the same neighborhood or group) You have to make sure that the server is on the same ip range and subnet as the manager. In the server, untick "automatic search" and then add the ip that was returned from the manager into there. You have to see what ip your manager is returrning, and then add that ip into the server. In your 1st screenshot, your manager has an ip of 192.168.0.100 and in the 2nd screenshot its ip is 192.168.0.102. OK your manager is getting its ip dynamically which means its not always the same ip.
